Sunbeam celebration of Malcolm Campbell's Land Speed Record at Pendine in 1925 in the 350 hp Sunbeam. Drove Edward from Leatherhead to Tenby the night before, then assembled outside the Museum for a parade on the beach. About 40 Sunbeams attended - a beautiuful sunny day, the MOD had specially opened the beach for us - it is normally a military test range!
Superb display of Vintage Sports Cars of all ages - a beautiful 3 litre super sports "twin cam" had driven from Yorkshire in a day, a veteran Clement Talbot lead teh procession. The 350 HP Sunbeam was in the museum alongside BABS, loaned by the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu. Pictures to follow.
This was our first run in Edward since taking the car over from my late Uncle Mike. We had to be careful to keep the engine cool - radiator may need attention. Everyone was very welcoming, many knew the car from my Uncle's ownership.
Met Douglas Howell who has a lovely 25hp wedding car.
