At Rosa's wedding Dave spotted Edward and afterwards contacted me secretly! He knew that Angela really liked Edward and together we fixed a surprise for her wedding day. Dave wanted a second car so his mates could join him for the unusual Chinese and British wedding day. Ian was happy to bring his lovely 1924 Sunbeam 14hp so we had two Vintage Sunbeams for the day. Dave and Angela live in Hertfordshire so the logistics were a challenge. Edward and I stayed with Ian the night before so we could be at Dave's house on time without the risk of M25 traffic problems. The two vintage Sunbeams were a complete surprise for Angela and also Rosa who was delighted to see Edward again.
Dave first had to "win his Bride" in the traditional Chinese way by passing some "challenges" set by Angela's friends. This was done with much hilarity on the front lawn. Then he married Angela in the traditional Chinese Tea ceremony. Afterwards we set off for the registry office in Hertford - two Vintage Sunbeams in convoy down the beautiful country lanes. Aftwards back to the house for a big party - we slipped away.
Edward and I had a nice drive back home around the M25 - as usual attracting a lot of attention from people taking photos as they drove alongside.
